A project grounded in the property
Good furniture starts with a more precise conversation
Some projects arrive with plans and a finish schedule; others begin with phone photographs. Both can progress well when the assumptions are made visible early.
Describe the problem before the product
Start with a clear brief, a measured room and timely answers at the approval stages. We are listening for who makes each decision, how it is recorded and what the workshop needs before production. A polished specification can come later; at this stage, a candid description is usually more useful.
A short list of must-haves and nice-to-haves keeps the early conversation honest. It also gives the quotation somewhere sensible to flex.
Measure the decisions, not every surface
An early width and height can rule out the wrong approach without pretending to be a workshop survey. Once the layout is credible, we verify the walls, levels and fixed elements that affect manufacture.
Module divisions are checked against both the elevation and the installation route. A technically convenient joint still needs to look deliberate once the doors are closed.
Materials need a reason
We compare drawings, samples, hardware choices and fitting details as a working combination. Colour is considered beside cleaning, load, moisture, touch and the amount of daylight in the room.
We may recommend spending more on runners or hinges and less on a fashionable outer surface. The choice depends on which part carries the daily work.
Fitting begins on paper
A beautiful elevation is not enough if it cannot enter the building or be adjusted safely. The fitting sequence is considered while the drawings can still respond.
We also confirm where packaging and offcuts can be handled. It is a small logistical question with a noticeable effect on a tidy fitting day.
Not every detail deserves the same investment
Phasing can be sensible, particularly when several rooms are involved. What matters is deciding the sequence before one early choice limits a later room.
A written exclusion is as useful as an inclusion. It prevents assumptions about electrical work, decoration, appliances or removal of existing furniture.
One clear answer at a time
After reviewing the information, we tell you what is viable, what is still uncertain and whether a measured visit is the right next step. There is no need to stage the room before sending photographs.
